Hoshi Kiyuki is the legendary idol appearing in the Aikatsu Stars! movie. Besides "Hoshi Kiyuki", she is also referred as Kiyuki or, most commonly, Kiyuki-mi-boshi (輝雪美星?). Kiyuki is the legendary idol of the Mount Hoshizora.

Legend of Kiyuki-mi-boshi[]

World of idols holds many legends. One of them is the legend of the snowy idol, who lived at Mount Hoshizora, born from the shiniest star. The name of this idol was Kiyuki-mi-boshi, Hoshi Kiyuki, or just Kiyuki. She originally came from Japan but moved to Mount Hoshizora to shine over the snowy world. As the snowy idol passes, their passion and spirit has been sealed in the legendary snowy Idol cards, which are somewhere at the Mount Hoshizora. At least, that's what the legend tells.

Appearance[]

Hoshi Kiyuki has curly hair that reaches down to her knees. The color of her hair is Alice blue, which is a shade that is mostly white but has some blue shimmer. Her eyes are electric blue and are said to have the light of day inside them. She usually wears a white dress with a blue ribbon at the collar. The bow holds a rose-shaped, golden brooch. laces are tied down her dress and separate the top from the skirt. The skirt is a simple white skirt with a blue, transparent cloth tied around her hips. She wears cyan blue slippers with a while flower attached to the trims. She wears a cyan blue accessory in her hair with a white flower attached to it.

Kiyuki in The Movie[]

Kiyuki only appears in legends in the beginning of the movie. She has been drawn by some inhabitants of the Hoshizora Mountain. However, at the second half, when the idols get lost in the Fubuki forest, the spirit of Kiyuki-mi-boshi appears in front of Mirai to help them finding their way out of the forest. Later, she grants the idols her legendary idol card, which the girls use to perform. At the end, Kiyuki watches their performance and smiles at the girls.

Etymology[]

Hoshi Kiyuki (星輝雪?) or Kiyuki-mi-boshi (輝雪美星?) - Kiyuki's name literally means "Beautiful star of the bright snow", coming from Kiyuki meaning "bright, snow" (輝雪?) and "beauty, star" (美星?). As her name is too long for some, most people refer her as Hoshi Kiyuki (Star, bright snow). Kiyuki's real last name is, however, unknown.

When Kiyuki appears before the idols as a spirit, Kiyomi calls her Kiyuki-mi-boshi-no-rei (輝雪美星の霊?), which literally means "Spirit of Kiyuki-mi-boshi" or "Spirit of the beautiful star of the bright snow".

Trivia[]

  • Hoshi Kiyuki's name "Kiyuki-mi-boshi" is based on the full names of the Japanese gods, like Amaterasu; "Amaterasu-ō-mi-kami".[1]
