Once Upon An Idol (アイドルに昔々?) is an idol system introduced in the second episode of Ainochi!. The Once Upon An Idol appears when an idol wears a Hanashi Coord or when they participate an Once Upon An Idol drama.
Idol Changes[]
Changing Aura[]
When performing an Once Upon An Idol, the idol's aura changes to a more fitting one, adding elements of the stories they represent. So for example, for sleeping beauty, the auras have all added roses in color variations but most common are white and red roses for girls and blue and silver roses for boys. Also, the aura changes from arch around the idol, to a circle that floats around their body, similar to Shiomiya Ryuichi's normal aura, but a bit smaller than the normal aura.
Changing Feeling[]
When performing with a Hanashi Dress and the Once Upon An Idol system, the feelings and emotions of both, the audience and the performing idol changes based on the story/stories they use. While each story has their own feeling, the feelings - also referred as upgraded auras - only appear during an Ainochi! performance once the performing idol has reached the rank of Super Premium Rare Coords.
During dramas, the Once Upon A Feeling are activated by the Premium Winged Crystals and the idols' Fairy Charm. Similar as during performances, the idols spread an amazing upgraded aura, that let the idols and the audience feel like they are actual part of the story. The main function of the changing feeling is to make the drama more lively and relateable.

During Concerts[]

During performances, the idols will have to wear the new Hanashi Coords in order to activate the Once Upon An Idol system. They are all based on several stories, fairytales, folktales, etc. The Hanashi Dresses also allow the user to use the new Märchen Appeals, that are quite different from the orignal brand appeals.
During Dramas[]
During Dramas, the users will also wear the Hanashi Dresses but the Once Upon An Idol system is already actived, even without the dresses. The director of the Once Upon An Idol drama holds a special card, known as the Golden Card, which activated the Once Upon An Idol system. The drama gets dragged into a fairytale illusion as soon as the Golden Card is used. The Golden Card is directly connected with the Fairy Charms, which the idols wear during the drama. They allow them to use special effects like magic or change their appearance with illusion powers.
