Rena Sakaki is a minor character in #OnlineStar and Sakaki Mai's mother.
Bio[]
Rena has got red-brown hair with a few, grey streaks which she commonly dries. She has got green eyes and is a bit chubby. She usually wears rather formal clothes when shown which are in either dark red or dark blue colour hues. Mai's mother is a professor at the University of Tokyo in the medecine faculty. She rarely talks about Mai's father. Usually, Mai cooks for her but from time to time, she takes the time to cook which is a hobby of hers. It's unknown to whom she was married and why Mai's father isn't shown at any time.
Despite working a lot, Rena cares a lot for her daughter and often asks whenever she needs help with something. However, she is often a bit overworked which is why Mai doesn't tell her mother about her social problems in her class. It's clear that Rena would prefer Mai to have better grades but she accepts that msuci is her daughter's love and supports her by sending her to lessons to learn instruments, for example. She believes that her daughter needs room for herself which is why she leaves Mai freedom to choose what to do in the afternoon.
Later on, it's revealed that Rena is a rather famous medicine professor and highly admired by many people. She is divorced since a while and has raised Mai alone. She likely finished school much earlier than usual and is very intelligent.
Rena is quite easy going and her personality usually leaves people wonder whenever she can reason things. As well, Rena likes to imagine weird things and starts to describe the life of her daughter as anime or novel story jokly.
